Bella Darby

Senior Surveyor

Bella Joined our Healthcare team in April 2023 with 10 years post qualification experience in valuations, rent reviews and lease renewals in the commercial sector. Bella is an RICS registered valuer and provides Valuation and Landlord and Tenant advice to a wide variety of healthcare clients including GP premises and investors in the sector.

Her role at Aitchison Raffety is primarily based in the East of England region and surrounding areas.

Caz Fairey

Business Development Executive

Caz has worked in the primary care industry for over six years alongside doctors and practice managers in relation to notional rent reviews, market valuations and sale and leasebacks, and has extensive knowledge of how surgeries can maximise property funding levels.

Caz is involved with our substantial existing client base of GP Surgeries across the county as well as establishing new relationships, within all aspects of healthcare work.

 

Dave Simpson

Associate Director

Dave joined our Healthcare team in March 2021.  He has over 10 years post qualification property experience and has been working in the healthcare sector since 2015.

His healthcare experience includes valuations, rent reviews and lease renewals as well as sale & leaseback of primary care properties.

Dave is responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients whilst expanding Aitchison Raffety’s presence within the primary care sector throughout the country.

Dom Rosenbaum

Associate Director

Dom joined Aitchison Raffety’s Healthcare team in December 2021 serving clients across the South West and South of the Country. He brings with him 15 years’ post qualification experience having worked across a broad range of property sectors and practicing in both the public and private sectors.

Dom’s primary role at Aitchison Raffety is to assist the expansion of the healthcare, valuation and consultancy provision across the South West of England and surrounding areas, and regularly undertakes valuation work of healthcare and commercial properties for banks, GP surgeries and private property owners. Dom also carries out professional work for healthcare clients including institutional investors, portfolio clients, developers and privately owned GP surgeries.

Georgina Silk

Associate Director

Georgina was made an Associate Director in November 2021, having joined as a Surveyor in 2018 in the company’s St Albans office. She provides Landlord and Tenant advice to a wide variety of Healthcare clients including individual GP premises and major investors in the sector.

In addition, Georgina is a registered valuer and undertakes valuations on a regular basis for a range of purposes including secured lending, partnership and portfolio.

Jane Magowan

Senior Surveyor

Jane is a Senior Healthcare Surveyor at Aitchison Raffety.

She joined Aitchison Raffety in January 2023 and has over 35 years’ experience in the surveying industry having worked in property investment, acquisitions, project management as well as general property management in the leisure, retail, residential and healthcare fields.  She has been working in the healthcare industry for 18 years, and now focuses on secured lending and partnership valuations in the Southeast, together with Landlord and Tenant work including rent reviews, CMR appeals, and lease renewal negotiations.

Qualifications:  BSc in Urban Estate Management & MRICS (Valuer)

John Clark

Associate Director

John qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1993 and has been with Aitchison Raffety since 1992.

He has 30 years of experience of building surveying, design and project management and medical related schemes have accounted for at least half of John’s professional work for over 10 years.

John has extensive experience in all aspects of the development process and provides services ranging from the design and or project management of new build and extension schemes to monitoring for Funds, PCT’s and Practices.

John specialises in:

• Healthcare focusing on primary health and medical centres.

 

 

Nathan Young

Surveyor

Nathan joined our Healthcare team in April 2021.

He has three years property experience including two years within the healthcare sector specialising in reviewing NHS Notional Rent, and involvement in rent reviews and partnership valuations.

Nathan will be working towards completing his APC and MRICS qualification as well as maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients and expanding Aitchison Raffety’s presence within the primary care sector throughout the country.

Paula Mace

Director, Head of Healthcare

Paula is a Director and Head of Healthcare at Aitchison Raffety, one of the Country’s leading experts on surgery premises and primary care medical centres.

Paula joined the company in 2003 and has nearly 20 years’ experience in the healthcare industry having worked with many surgeries, medical centres, healthcare investors and funds across the country during this time. Aitchison Raffety have a number of offices with a team of healthcare specialists located across the country with over forty years’ experience working with doctor’s surgeries.

Recognised for her knowledge of healthcare property and extensive experience in the healthcare industry and provides a range of services, specialising in valuations for a variety of purposes including secured lending, partnership, portfolio and court purposes for a range of clients from individual property owners and investors, to large portfolio holders with a considerable number of medical centres located nationwide. These services also include sale and leaseback, disposal and acquisition and development work.

Paula is also involved in a variety of Landlord and Tenant situations on a daily basis dealing with rent reviews and lease renewal negotiations, dispute resolution, CMR appeals, as well as pharmacy rent reviews and lease renewals. She also has significant experience as an Expert Witness in relation to rent review and lease renewal disputes including the PACT process.

As well as being a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Paula is instrumental in the management and running of the Healthcare Department. She also qualified as an Independent Expert in 2017 and is now a member of the RICS panel of Independent Experts.

Sally Roebuck

Senior Secretary/PA, Healthcare

Sally joined Aitchison Raffety in 2015 after working as a Secretary/PA in accident and injury law and previously a Chartered Building Surveyors.  Sally’s primary role at Aitchison Raffety is to deal with all administrative tasks for the healthcare team corresponding with doctors and practice managers and managing independent expert and arbitration work on behalf of the surveyors.
